Gift of Giving

This is one of my favorite parts of paper crafting. Gift packaging.

I love a pretty package, I love to wrap a gift and make a matching card, tag ribbon etc.

Last year at work, our summer student Roxanne left at the end of her term. My co-workers and I gathered a bunch of gifts and I volunteered to wrap the box.

The card front panel is a water-colored ombre technique.

I dragged my Versamark pad around the edges and applied gold embossing powder.

The letters are from the Double Cut set from Concord and 9th. The dies cut both the  outlines and insides of the letters. Three white cardstock outline layers, a light blue inside on the bottom layer and a top layer of gold foil paper. The heart shape is constructed the same as the letters but made into a shaker filled with chunky glitter. Sorry, I don't remember where the heart die is from.

The ROX tag was cut in three layers on my Silhouette Curio. (I made this last year was not blogging then so I did not think to take a picture of the finished gift.)

I was inspired by the wrapping paper and by this card by Kristina Werner. She is so great with water color.
