Same but Different - Snowflake Love

Who doesn't love a pretty snowflake. I have collected many snowflake dies and stamps and I love them all. I created three cards using the same stamp and dies, with a few variations in design.

This large Bo Bunny snowflake stamp I have had for years and have not used it for a long time. I paired it with a MFT set of stackable snowflake dies. This first card is probably one of my favorite snowflake cards I have ever made. It ticks all the boxes for me.

The large stamp is stamped with an iridescent clear embossing powder. It really sparkles as you turn the card. The MFT set of dies is actually two separate sets, one that is the actual snowflakes and one that is the outer shapes. I used the outer shape to cut the center out and add the coordinating die inside cut out of glitter paper. The small red heart was cover in Nuvo crystal drops and unfortunately cracked a bit as it was drying. No big deal I don't think it takes away from the beauty of this snowflake.

This one has a layered shadow look with extra layers of the MFT dies set added on. The shadow layering is a nicer effect in real life than the camera conveys but overall the white and navy contrast with the pop of red just makes me smile.

Changing up the background on this one with blending some Distress Oxides colors. Same layering dies set. Some Nuvo crystal drops add to the background to balance out the focal point with the faded snowflake stamp. Again the use of iridescent embossing powder does not translate as well to camera as when you see it in natural light.

These cards were really fun to make and make me wonder why I had not used that stamp sooner.
